WHAT IS NICOTINE AND WHY ITS  ADDICTIVE | NICOTINE SIDE EFFECTS 

Nicotine is a chemical that stimulates the brain. It affects our central nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system. This chemical is highly addictive, and in one cigarette the amount of nicotine is 2mg. Nicotine’s chemical formula is C10H14N2.

WHAT HAPPENED IN OUR JUST AFTER WE TAKE NICOTINE -


When we take nicotine that is in any form like a cigarette, chewing, and injection then within some seconds it dissolves in blood cells. And keep on traveling till it reaches the brain. 

In the brain, nicotine is attached to nicotine receptors. This attachment in the brain leads to the release of Dopamine chemicals.

When Dopamine is released we feel good. Because this chemical is associated with the feeling of pleasure and good.

Nicotine also leads to the release of some more chemicals in our body like Norepinephrine which will cause increases in blood pressure and you will not feel much hungry.

Nicotine also stimulates the adrenal gland. Due to this stimulation adrenaline, a chemical will release. Then you will feel some changes in your body like your heartbeat increase, your breathing became fast and your blood pressure increases.


SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT NICOTINE -


1. Our body absorbs more nicotine while we chew tobacco than smoking. So if you have a bad habit of chewing tobacco you will get easily addicted to it.

2. Giving up Nicotine is the same hard as giving up on some other dangerous drugs like Heroin. That makes nicotine so addictive. You can not leave it easily.

3. Two German scientists in 1828 remove Nicotine from the Tobacco plant for the first time. They tell Nicotine is a poison.

4. When nicotine enters our body it produces more than 20 substances like Anabasine, cotinine, and Nornicotine.

5. Most of us start using tobacco by watching ads. Like, look at that celebrity he is smoking that brand. I will try that also. When we are teenagers we get much attracted to these foolish ads or commercials. 


WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS -

If you are using nicotine for a long time and you want to quit then be ready for these withdrawal symptoms.

Physical - Headache, Nausea, Fatigue,

Psychological - Depress mood, no concentration on work, feels something is missing, anxiety, anger, and sleep problems.

You will crave for nicotine. You want to get it anyhow. But if you pass this tough phase that lasts for a maximum of 14 days then you will feel how happy you are. You will be healthy and happy.



WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECT OF NICOTINE -


1. Nicotine is a barrier is brain development. So if you keep on using nicotine for a long time maybe your brain will work slow after some time.

2. Nicotine blocks the blood vessels in the heart. So it's very difficult for the heart to pump blood properly.

3. Nicotine can cause a stroke in the brain. Nicotine starts blocking the supply of oxygen to cells.

4. Blood clot. Nicotine can cause blot clots and it can be very dangerous.

5. Build plaque inside the artery wall. Nicotine causes artery narrowness because of plaque formation. And this condition is known as atherosclerosis.

6. Cause cancer of lungs and throat.

7. Tooth loss and gum disease.

8. Urinary problems.

HOW TO QUIT NICOTINE -

1. Just see where you feel the urge to take nicotine. Like which place or situation you feel urged. Now just don’t go to those places where you feel urged. Like you feel an urge of taking nicotine in a cafe or restaurant and after taking a coffee. So you have to leave all your triggers slowly.

2. Remove all nicotine products from your home. No lighter no old cigarette ashtray.

3. You have to leave those who are addicted to nicotine. Because by only these people you can easily start smoking or chewing tobacco again. Make a distance from those people.

You have to make a sacrifice for your good life.

4. Make a list of why you should quit nicotine now and put it in front of your bed in your room. So every day your eye will read these and you will be motivated toward quitting.
You can also use why to quit wallpaper on your phone or laptop.

5. Stop taking alcohol. Because alcohol will trigger you to smoke or chew tobacco. So leave it completely. If you really want to improve your life you have to do that.

6. Start doing exercise every day for at least 30 minutes. It will help to stop nicotine.

7. Do meditation every day. It will relieve stress naturally no need to take the help of nicotine.

8. Keep your mouth working like keep on chewing gum or candy.

9. when you will feel a strong crave start doing deep breathing exercises for some minutes.

1. Lower chance of having cancer like lung and throat.
