How sperms and semen production happen in the male body


Before learning about sperm you should know about Semen. That is also known as Seminal Fluid. Semen is produced by the sexual gland and sex organs in a man. Semen contains sperms that fertilize the egg in females. Sperm is very important because it contains Genetic material (DNA).

Semen has many other things then sperms. Semen is produced and originates in Seminal Vesicle.

During ejaculation, Sperms moves from Testes to Seminal vesicle.
 
How sperms and semen are produce in male body
MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
Seminal vesicle (A pair of the small gland) produces a yellow and viscous colored fluid that has fructose and many other substances. 70% of Semen made of this fluid. Seminal fluid has (Some of them) -
- Amino acids
- Citrate
- Enzymes
- Fructose
- Proteins
- Vitamin C

Then semen passes through the Prostate gland that and this gland also produces a whitish colored fluid that gets mixed with semen.

This whitish colored fluid contains -
> Many Enzymes
> Citric acid
> Lipids
> Zinc - Play a very important role in stabling DNA in sperm cells.

Then Semen gets mixed with Bulbourethral (Bul -Bo-urethral) Gland secretion. This gland secretes a clear fluid that lubricates the urethra (Tube from where semen ejaculate).

This fluid contains -
> Galactose
> Mucus - Make Semen a jelly-like texture.
> Pre Ejaculate fluid - This fluid comes out before semen ejaculation. It a clear, sticky and odorless. It stabilizes the acidic environment inside the vagina and makes a good way for semen.
> Sialic acid

What semen contains -
> Calcium
> Chloride
> Citrate
> Fructose
> Lactic acid
> Magnesium
> Potassium
> Protein
> Sodium
> urea
> Zinc
> DNA

Sperm -

Now let's talk about Sperm. Now you know Sperm and semen are not the same things. Sperms are just a small component of semen. But the most important component.

All the other Semen component help Sperm to meet with egg by -
- Increasing sperm mobility
- Make surface lubricant
- Penetrate the egg wall

Sperm are made in Testis and stored in Epididymis (Epi - dimis). The Epididymis is just attached with Testes, its like tube.

And just before ejaculation sperms go up through Vas Deferens (Def-Rens) and mix with the secretion of -

- Seminal Vesical
- Prostate gland
- Bulbourethral

And form Semen. One semen ejaculation there are millions of sperms.

Why our testicles are hanging -
Because our sperms need and colder environment lesser than our body. That's why they are hanging outside.

How sperm are made -
Sperms are made of a process known as Spermatogenesis that takes place in Seminiferous tubules inside the Testes.
 - At first, so many sperm cells made by the process Spermatogonia.
- Now, these cells change their structure and make Spermatocytes.
- Now, these spermatocytes changes by Meiosis. Where their chromosome number became half and made spermatids. So these half chromosome cells can be attached with other half chromosome cells of the female egg. 23 chromosomes of males and 23 females.

It's so amazing.

- When these Spermatids became mature they develop a tail and now the sperm cells are ready.
- This whole process takes around 90 days to complete.
- So a healthy sperm take 3 months to develop.

Sperms head contain a nucleus that has Chromosomes. This nucleus is surrounded by a thick fluid known as Acrosome. This Acrosome contains Enzymes that help in penetrating the Female egg wall.

Sperm tail help in its speed and walking.

My main motive for making this post is - You should not waste your Semen by doing masturbation. Semen is a very precious fluid in our bodies.
