How to apply for a driving license online in India
There are 2 types of driving licenses in India. One the Learning license and the other one permanent driving license. You need to get a learning license first to get a driving license.
The learning license is valid only for 6 months. Before the learning license will expire, you should apply for a permanent driving license. You can apply for a permanent driving license just after 1 month of getting a learning license.
If you want to drive with a learning license, there should be some one with you who will assist you. And that person should have a valid driving license. You can not drive alone or without any supervisor if you have a learning license.

Aadhaar card
Pan card
Passport
10th class mark sheet
Birth certificate
Electricity bill
Ration card
Process of getting a Driving license online -
1.Vist this website and click on a learning license.
Just visit this website - https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservice/stateSelection.do
2.Now You need to fill the application form completely. You should select what type of license you want. 2 or 4 wheeler. You can also select both.
If you want a license for 2 wheeler then select - MCWG (Moter cycle with gear)
If you want a license for 4 wheels like a car then select - LMV (Light motor vehicle)
You can also select both if you want to drive a bike and car.
3.After you fill the application form you need to upload -
1 Adress proof document
1 Age proof document - Age should be more than 18
1 Passport size photo
1 Signature in a plain paper - Size should be less than 20 kb.
The document should be less than 200Kb size and in JPG or PDF format.
4.Take the print out of acknowledgment receipt, Form 1 and Form 1A. There will be also a form where you need to get a sign and stamp from a government doctor.
5.Fix your date for the written test in the nearest RTO office.
6.You need to pay around 1000 INR online. This payment will be for both earning and driving license.
7.Go to the address of RTO and give a written test. They will also ask you about traffic rules and signs.
Take also original documents of your age and address with you that you upload.
8.Now if you pass the exam, they will send your learning license to your address.
9.After 1 month of getting a learning license, apply for a Permanent Driving license. Go to the same website, and click on apply for a driving license.
10.You need to fix your date for the driving test in the nearest RTO.
11.Now you need to go on the same date and time.
12.If you pass the driving test, then the original driving license will be delivered to your address after some days. You can also collect it from the RTO office.
