If you want to drive in a foreign country then you need to get an International driving license from India. With your International Indian driving license, you can drive to more than 150 countries. You can easily rent a vehicle in these countries.



International driving licenses and international driving permits are the same things. Don’t get confused here.


How to Get an International Driving Licence in India -

Documents you need to make International Driving Licence are -

1. Driving license

2. Indian passport

3. Valid visa

4. Application form fully filled - You can get this form from RTO or can download online. This is also known as Form 4. You can download it from here - http://jhtransport.gov.in/pdf/form-4a.pdf

5. Medical form. You can download it from here - https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/sites/default/files/DownloadForm/form1A.pdf

This form should be attested by a genuine doctor.

6. Flight ticket.

You can also make your International Driving Licence just click here - https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservicecov1/envaction.do 

Now visit the nearest RTO to submit all the documents. And pay the 1000 INR fee.

- Validity of Internation driving license -

1 year from the date of issue.

- How many days it will take to get an International Driving Licence from RTO -

3 to 4 days
