Mistakes you should never do while driving a manual car

Mistakes you should never do while driving a manual car

1. In red light leave the car in Gear -

Most of us do this mistake while waiting at the traffic light. We put the 1st gear, feet on Clutch, and on break. This habit is not good why?

- It put extra strain on the clutch.

It is better to put the handbrake on and put the gear in Neutral. It will not take so much time to start the car again when the green light on.

2. Release clutch too soon -

When we release the clutch too fast after putting gear it is not good for the Engine. It put extra strain on the engine. This habit also damages the clutch over time.

3. Keep your hand on gear -

If you have a habit to keep your hand on the gear stick then you should change it.

Because resting hand on gear gives extra pressure to internal parts of the gear. It can also lead to gear failure.

So after shifting gear you should remove your hand and put both hands on the steering wheel.

4. No speed and gear coordination -

If you are in 1st gear and you want to speed by pressing the accelerator that is not a good idea. This habit will damage your car engine.

You should change your gear to high gear first then press the accelerator gently.

If you put 4th Gear you should also be in Its speed. If your speed is less and gear is high then it also causes problems.

5. Rest feet on the clutch -

Most of us have a habit to rest your feet on clutch after pressing it. This habit is not good and can lead to clutch failure. Your fuel efficiency will be low.

We should remove our feet from the clutch after using it.

After putting gear we pressing the clutch and then we remove our feet slowly from the clutch. Then your car starts driving this point known as Biting point.

If your feet are still on clutch after clutch bitting point it will cause Clutch malfunction.

6. Using neutral when driving downhill -

This is not a good way. We think we are saving our fuel but it's not true. Putting your car in neutral is dangerous as well because you can not speed up.

7. Pressing half clutch -

If you have a habit of pressing clutch half then it will lead to -

- Gear grind

- Makes gear parts less productive

8. Put Reverse gear while car is still moving -

Putting the car in reverse while it's moving can leads to so many malfunctions in car-like.

- It damages the gear and transmission.

9. Skipping gears -

We should put gear one by one. After 1,2,3,4 and 5. You should not skip the gear. You should not put 4 gear just after 1st gear. This habit will lead to.

- wastage of fuel

- put extra stress on Engine

10. Shifting gear without pressing clutch -

If you force a gear to change without pressing the clutch it will lead to damages in the engine and it grinds the gear.

11. Pressing brake without pressing clutch -

If you want to stop you should press clutch first the break. Keep pressing the clutch and brake padel till your car stop completely.
