Why you should sleep on your left side | Best sleeping position 

Yes, a sleeping position also affects our overall health. Sleeping on your back can be harmful as it creates problems if you have asthma and sleep apnea. And sleeping on the stomach can cause back and neck pain. Sleeping on the right side can cause digestive problems. 


And sleeping on the left side will give you these benefits - 

1. Helps to remove toxins -

The left side of the body controlling the Lymphatic system in our body. There are more lymphatic nerves on our left side. When you sleep on the left side your body can easily remove toxins and waste from your body. 

And if you sleep on another side then left the lymphatic system can not work fully, so the toxins and waste will not filter fully from our body.  

2.Better for digestion -

Sleeping on the left side moves the food easily from the left to the large intestine. So your waste can easily come out in the morning. 

The stomach and pancreas are in a natural position when we sleep on the left side. This is very helpful for making digestion better while sleeping. 

3.Left side sleeping is better for our heart -

It improves blood circulation in the heart. The Aorta (the largest arteries) has a curved position toward the left of our heart. Now if you sleep on the left side heart doesn’t need to put much pressure to push the blood to the aorta. 

4.Good for a pregnant woman - 

Sleeping on the left side puts less pressure on the spine during pregnancy. This side sleeping also increases the blood flow to the uterus and fetus. So your baby will be healthy and fit. Just put a pillow between your knees while sleeping. 

5.Makes snore less -

Snoring occurs when we sleep on the back because the air passage gets narrow. But sleeping on the left side will make your airflow normal and you will snore less. 

6. Make back painless -

If you suffered from back pain then sleeping on the left side will help you. Sleeping on the left side gives less pressure on spine.
