The Dominican Hill Retreat House, also commonly known as the Diplomat Hotel and located in Dominican Hill, Baguio, Philippines. You can enjoy a beautiful view of Baguio city from here.



The Diplomat Hotel is considered one of the most haunted places in the Philippines. Most of the people are saying, they are hearing strange crying noises, Banging doors sounds, and seeing the headless ghosts in Diplomat hotel during the night.

Diplomat hotel in Baguio was finished building in 1915. And that time this place was known as Dominican Hill and Retreat House.

From 1915 to 1918 this building was converted to a school and was known as Collegio del Santissimo Rosario.

From 1918 to 1940 this building was converted again to Dominican Hill and Retreat House because the student was very less.

From 1940 to 1945 this building was used as a refuge camp for those people who run away from the Japanese during world war 2.

During this period of time, Japanese attacks on the buildings and made this their headquarter. The priest, nuns, and others inhabitants were killed brutally by the Japanese here.

1945 Americans have bombed this building and the Japanese forces had committed suicide in this place.

From 1972 to 1986 this building was converted to a hotel. Antonio Agapito who was a businessman, psychic surgeon, and spiritual healer was managing this place. In 1987 when was this man died, this place was shut down for the public.

From 2004 to till date - This place was opened for the public.

In 2013 it was declared a historical site and you can visit it from 6am to 6pm every day.

The entrance fee is 10 Pesos per person. Diplomat hotel and its surrounding area are also known as Baguio City Heritage Hill and Nature Park.

Diplomat Hotel is one of the most visited places in Baguio city by tourists and locals. The view from this place is so amazing and if you love nature then you should visit this place.
