It will take 3 to 4 months to see positive changes in your brain by Meditation. So here are some positive effects that happen to the brain by doing meditation. All the effects of meditation on the brain are based on scientific research.

1.Meditation strengthens the Neurons' connections in our brain.

2.Meditation makes the pre-frontal cortex which Is a part of the brain Thick. This brain part is associated with concentration and decision-making.

3.Our brain can change its structure at any age and it's known as Neuroplasticity. By doing Regular meditation our brain starts changing its structure for the better.

4.Regular meditation also increases gray matter in our brain. Gray matter makes most of the brain neuron cell bodies.

5.Meditation increase the level of good neurotransmitters and hormones. Meditation also decreases the level of bad ones.

Here are some good neurotransmitters and hormones -

- Serotonin and Endorphins - Feel-good Hormones

- DHEA - This hormone increase memory and learning function and protect the neurons by agings.

- GABA - When this chemical release it block some brain signals and decrease the activity in the nervous system. GABA attaches to a protein in our brain known as a GABA receptor, it produces a calming effect. This can help with feelings of anxiety, stress, and fear.

-  Growth Hormone -

- Melatonin - For better sleep.

6.Meditation reduces the size of the Amygdala in our brain. This area of the brain is responsible for the feeling of stress, anxiety, and fear. Meditation shrinks the Amygdala and now we feel less anxious. So this is also a huge benefit of meditation.
