Philippines military academy (PMA) in Baguio is a training school of armed forced. This academy prepares best man and woman for Philippines military.

 PMA is 10 kilometers from Baguio City and a popular tourist attraction. It’s open for visitors all the days in a week. In every Saturday cadets are doing parades here.
There is no entry fee in PMA but if you want to see PMA museum there is fee of 10 Pesos. The place to really huge with lots of greenery around. I love this place much due to its peace full and green environment.
To reach here with cheap price get Jeepney from Baguio Central district or public market . You will only need to pay 20 Pesos. And it will sharing because Jeepney is Philippines public transport.

HISTORY 

Philippines military academy in Baguio started in 25th October 1898 by the first president of Philippines Mr. Emilio Aguinaldo.
In 21st December 1936 a National defense act was passed for PMA. In this act who will complete 4 years in Philippines military academy he will get Bachelor of Science degree.
In 1993 PMA also start female entry.

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A PMA CADET 

  • Natural Born Filipino Citizen.
  • Physically fit and of good moral character.
  • Single and has never been married.
  • Must pass the PMA Entrance Examination.
  • No Administrative / Criminal Case.
  • At least High School Graduate or must graduate not later than June of the year following the date of examination taken for Grade 12 students.
  • Height Requirement for both Male and Female is 5 feet (not to exceed 6'4" for both).
  • At least 17 years old but not a day older than 22 years on 01 June of the year following the date of examination taken.

HOW TO GET ADMISSION IN PMA 

  • Submit an application form for Philippine Military Academy Cadet Qualification Test.
  • After applicant need to go designated Examination Center.
  • If you pass the exam you will get a written notice from Office of Cadet Admission (OCA). And you need to report AFP Medical center.
  • In AFP Medical center your medical, physical, mental and emotional condition will be examined.
  • Your fitness result will take some days to come out. During this period you need to stay in billeting area provided by the Academy.
  • If you pass your fitness test then you need to report in Philippines military academy Liason Office for final processing. This will happen in month of March.
  • And on 1st April Oath-Taking Ceremony will happen and after you can officially join Philippines military academy in Baguio.
  • During your 4 years stay in PMA you will be undergone education and training that will make you officer in armed forced of Philippines.

Prepare for the examination covering –
  • Algebra and Geometry
  • Grammar, Composition, Reading and Comprehension
  • Verbal/Numerical Reasoning and Pattern Analysis
