Burj Al Sahwa in Muscat is very famous place. Its known for "Clock tower"and its "Beautiful garden" located here. So lets begin with -

1) Burj Al Sahwa Clock Tower -

This clock tower is near to “City Centre Seeb Muscat”. This tower is one of the identification mark of Muscat city. You will see it if you are coming from Salalah, Nizwa and Sur. It’s in a roundabout, so you will see much traffic here. Sahwa and Burj are Arabic word means “Awakening” and “Tower”.

All around the wall of clock tower get painted that shows Omani rich culture. You can easily get taxi from here to every part of Oman. Most of the time this area is full with traffic, so be careful while crossing roads.

There are three main roads that are interconnecting here -
  • Road to Muscat city that is 41 KM from here.
  • Soahr (195 km) and seeb (14KM) road.
  • Nizwa (137KM) and Shalala (996KM) road.
When I reach there so many taxi are going to Nizwa (Place in Oman). Burj Al Sahwa Clock Tower considered a National Monument which was built to mark Oman’s 25 years of Renaissance in 1985. This tower is fifty meters tall (50 meters) and features four massive columns.
There are four (4) large clocks that adorn the tip of the tower. Near to this clock tower there is very beautiful and big garden for must visit. You can easily reach here by bus as well, that will cost you 300 Baisa from Alkuwair.

2) AL SAHWA PARK -

This beautiful park is located between Old Muscat airport and Muscat city Centre. It’s near to Al Sahwa Clock tower roundabout. If you are coming from Ruwi or Alkuwair Just get down from bus or taxi in Al Sahwa Clock tower roundabout and go to subway to other side.

This park is very big and beautiful. Well maintained by Muscat Municipality. Different types of flowers and plants. Much space for kids to play and family for resting. You will see very nice green grass carpet everywhere in park. So many families are doing picnic and some you will see sleeping. This park has many nice coffee shops and a beautiful Mosque.

This park is built in 300,000 square meters area. Al Sahwa Park was opened on December 8th 2007. The palm garden look very beautiful. It’s designed very nicely. Park opens its doors to all visitors from 9 am to 12 am.
