Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is located near Connaught Place, New Delhi on Baba Kharak Singh Marg . And this Gurudwara is very famous in all over the world. There is very nice pool inside of this Gurudwara that also known as “ SAROVAR” that also have verities of fishes. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib was a “Bungalow” of” Raja Jai Singh”. Eighth Sikh “Guru Har Krishan’ was also staying here during his visit to New Delhi. Guru ‘Har Krishan” heal many ill people by giving them water from the well of this house, because this water contains healing property.

3) A large holy pond
4) A school
5) Art gallery
Gurudwara Bangla Sahib organize langar ( free food) every day to all people who comes there. You can have Langar without hesitation nobody will ask your caste, your religion. That’s one of the good things of Gurudwara. If you wish to help in making food and other thing they will welcome you.

 

 

LANGAR HOURS -

Only vegetarian food is served. Timings are tentatively from 9AM to 3PM & 7PM to 10PM.
In Gurudwara Bangla Sahib you need to cover your head with a cloth and need to remove your shoes. If you are a foreigner and you would like to know more about this place you can go to foreigner help center located here. There is a proper place for keeping your shoes and it’s free. And they have Hostels also there. And very nicely maintained multi-level parking.

FEW IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISITORS ARE -

1) The gurudwara is open 24 hours, all days of the week.
2) Entry is free.
3) You are required to dress modestly and keep your head covered inside the gurudwara premises.
4) You are required to remove your shoes before entering the gurudwara.

ACCOMMODATION CHARGES –

Rent for AC room is 1000 INR/day.
Non-AC room’s rent is 800 INR/day.
No money is charged for staying inside the hall.

HOW TO REACH HERE -

The nearest metro station is Patel Chowk which falls on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro.
