How to get Thailand visa for Indian Passport holders
In this post, I will tell you how You get a Thailand Tourist Visa for Indian Passport Holders. There are 3 ways you can get a Thailand visa. All Visa will be issued by the Royal Thai Embassy in your area.
You can any one of these visa types -
- Get a Proper Thailand Tourist Visa
- Get a Visa on Arrival
- E - Visa on Arrival
1. VISA OF ARRIVAL -
The validity of this visa is for a maximum of 15 days. The application fee is 2000 Baht.
DOCUMENTS NEED TO VOA -
1. Your original passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of departure.
2. VOA fully filled application form with photographs ( 4*6 CM). You can get the form here - https://www.immigration.go.th/download/1486544488315.pdf
You can also get this form at Thailand airport.
3. Arrival form with fully filled. You can get in-plane or at the Airport.
4. Boarding pass.
5. Confirmed return tickets.
6. Last 6 months Bank statements attested by Bank and should have at least 55000 Indian Ruppe.
7. Hotel bookings.
8. Need to have cash at least 15000 Baht or USD equivalent to 15000 Baht.
9. A pen and glue for writing on Arrival form and paste photo on VOA form. It will save you time.
You need to Land in some of these airports in Thailand to get Visa on Arrival -
> Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok
> Don Mueang Airport, Bangkok
> Chiangmai International Airport
> Phuket International Airport
> Krabi International Airport
2. PROPER TOURIST VISA -
The validity of this visa is for 3, 6 months. The 3 months visa will be a single entry and 6 months visa will be multiple entries. The visa will be printed on Your passport.
You can extend this Visa in Thailand if you want. I just need to go near Beuro of Immigration in Thailand. You can stay a maximum of 60 with this visa one time but If you want to stay in Thailand more then 60 days from time of arrival you need to contacts the Thai Immigration office.

6 Months - 12000
How to start -
1. First, you need to visit http://www.vfs-thailand.co.in/ this website. You can also be done with Cox and Kings Global Services Pvt. Ltd and their website is - https://www.th.ckgs.in/
2. Download the Visa application form and fill it.
3. Download the documents checklist and fill it.
4. 2 Passport size photo. 3.5*4.5 CM with white background.
5. The last 6 months Bank statements attested by Bank and should have at least 55000 Indian Ruppe.
6. Money exchange slips showing you converted INR to USD or Thai baht. You should have at least 15000 Thai Baht or 500 USD.
7. Evidence of occupation along with employer letter confirming your employment. If you have your own business then your business license and income tax returns.
8. Other documents need to presents if the Thai embassy asked for it.
9. Need to submit confirmed booking in Hotels and plane tickets. Before booking hotels and plane tickets please go to the Thailand Visa Application Center.
Maybe they will say no to booking. What if your visa gets canceled? And you already booked your ticket so it's useless.
10. Your original passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of departure.

3. E - Visa on arrival -
Anyone of them.
Here also you need to submit some documents -
1. Passport main pages
2. Flight tickets
3. Hotel booking
You need to pay online for getting an E visa. Then after approval, they will send a visa by email. You need to print it and show it to Thailand immigration.
You need to pay around 2500 Thai Baht per person. This visa will valid till 15 days.
