Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Temple in Chiang Mai
Doi Suthep is famous because of its very beautiful Buddist temple known as Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. The view from this temple is so amazing.
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is 15 KM far from Chiang Mai city. Its located in Suthep district.
This temple gets its complete name because its located in a mountain named Doi Suthep. In Thai Doi means Mountain.
When you reach the temple you need to climb 309 stairs. On top, you will see a statue of a white Elephant. You will also find many small temples nearby.
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is a part national park, where you can also see beautiful waterfalls.
The entrance fee for this temple is 50 Baht per person.
Your clothes should be cover most of the parts of your body while you are here. Or they will provide you clothes that cover your body.

How to reach Doi Suthep -
1.By Songthaew -
You can catch a Songthaew from Huay Kaew Road near the Zoo, Wat Phra Singh, and next to the north gate. It will cost you 40 Baht. It a sharing songthaew so you need to wait till it full.
2. Rent a Scooter or car -
You can easily rent a scooter in Chiang Mai.
3.Contact travel agent in Chiang Mai -
These travel agents will organize a tour for you to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.
4. If you are in a group you can privately hire a Songthaew as well. It will cost you around 500 Baht.
5.By walking -
If you love walking this try this. You can start from Chiang Mai zoo or Chiang Mai university it will be 7 Km. And in between, you will see the amazing beauty of Chiang Mai.
You will also see a temple known as Pha Lat Temple.
And if you want to come back, you can easily get a Songthaew from there.
