How to drive an automatic car?

How to drive an automatic car?

In the automatic car, there is no Clutch system. An automatic car is easy to drive than a manual car. There are 2 pedals in Automatic cars. On left, there is a break and on the right side Accelerator. Here there is no use of your left foot.

You only need to use Right feet for pressing Break and accelerator. Automatic cars are the best to drive in the city area.

How to put the gear in automatic -

There are no numbers of gears in Automatic. No 1st no 2nd gear. But in some automatic cars, there is 1st and 2nd gear. In your gear handle, there is an option for -

- P = Parking

- R = Reverse

- N = Neutral

- D = Drive. In some cars, it's written A means Automatic.

- S = To drive in the hill area. This option depends on the model to model. Some car doesn’t have S.

- + and - (only in some cars ) = + means higher gear. - means lower gear.

How to drive the automatic car -

Press the brake and start the engine.

Just check a little knob on your gear handle. By pressing this knob you can control your Gear handle. To make this knob work you need to press break first.

Now put the knob and push the Gear handle to Drive mode or D. Now just remove your feet from break slowly. Put your handbrake down if it's on.

Now your car starts moving. If you want to increase the speed then press the accelerator.

Now if you want to reverse - press the brake padel, and press the knob. Now put the gear handle in front of R or Reverse. Remove feet from the break. Now your car starts moving back.

Now if you are in Red light - same procedure - press brake - press knob - put gear handle in font of N or neutral. Remove feet from break.

After parking -

Put Gear handle in P or in Parking. And make hand-break on.
