1.Oman has been Ruled by Al Said Family since 1744. Officially Oman is known as the Sultanate of Oman. 

2.Before 1970 very few people know about Oman. But after 23rd July 1970, Sultan Qaboos became the Oman Ruler. He just changes Oman's future. Now Oman is one of the best countries to live in. 



3.Right now Haitham bin Tariq Al Said is the Sultan of Oman. Sultan is the head of the country and has all the powers. 


4.Omani currency comes 3rd number in terms of the world's strongest currency. It comes after Kuwaiti and Bahraini Dinar. Omani currency is known as Omani Riyals or OMR.

5.Oman shares its border with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen.

9.1986 first university has open in Oman. The name of the university is Sultan Qaboos University. The university is located in Muscat, the capital city of Oman. 

10.Most Omani use Frankincense in their house. That has a very nice fragrance. 17% of total Frankincense worlds production done in Oman only. 

11.Kahwa is a type of coffee in Oman and it's an Omani national beverage. Kahwa is an Arabic coffee with cardamom and usually, it's served with dates. 

12.To buy Alcohol in Oman you need to get a license from Omani police. But Yes, you can get alcohol in hotels, restaurants, and nightclubs in Oman. 

13.Friday and Saturday are government holidays in Oman. Sunday is the First Day of the Week. 

14.Oman has some of the oldest markets in the world. These old markets are known as souq in Oman. Here you can get amazing handicrafts, jewelry, perfumes, clothes, and food.

20.In Oman you can see a different kind of knife, known as Khanjar. This Khanjar is discovered in Oman itself. You also find the picture of Khanjar in Omai currency.

21.Lots of ex-pats work in Oman. As of the 2014 census say that 43 % of the total population in Oman are ex-pats. Most of these ex-pats are from India. 

22.There are a good number of Baloch people in Oman. They got the Omani nationality. This Baloch comes from Iran and Pakistan, many years before. 

23.Official language of Oman Is Arabic. And it's a Muslim country.

25.Until 1970 there was no hotel in Oman. But now there are lots of luxurious hotels in Oman.

26.Omani men wear Dishdasha and women wear hijab and abaya. The most woman does not cover there face. 

27.Most Omani loves to smoke Shisha. This is also known as Hookah. 

28.Thousands of turtles are migrating to Oman's coastline every year. You can see those turtles in Ras Al Jinz in Oman. You can also find there green turtle which is an endangered species. 

29.Amouage is a famous Perfume brand that is based in Oman.
